Hart's squads both finished second in Tuesday's West
Michigan Conference Mega Meet in Fremont, which brought together all 14
WMC squads.
Shelby placed sixth in the girls' race, and the boys' Tigers finished 12th.
Hart's
Natalie Rosema supplied the best finish of all county runners, earning
fourth place in the girls' race with a time of 21:07.6. Three of her
teammates finished within 5.5 seconds of one another: Alaina Schaner
(11th, 22:36.0), Bryn Riley (12th, 22:37.1) and Emma Miller (14th,
22:41.6). Luisa VanderZwaag rounded out the scoring in 20th place
(24:10.0).
Timothy Wolff paced the Pirate boys, coming in
ninth place (18:15.3), closely followed by teammate Grant Ackley in 10th
(18:26.1). Trevor VanderKodde was 13th (18:40.0) and Carson Ackley was
15th (18:47.0). Julian Lopez took the final scoring spot for Hart, in
20th (18:58.6).
Noel Parker picked up Shelby's best finish in
the girls' race, placing 21st (24:12.3). Other Tiger scorers included
Kathryn Beyer (34th, 25:37.95), April Luna (45th, 27:08.5), Ava Lamberg
(50th, 27:38.4) and Sydney Reed (57th, 28:27.3).
Brycen Brown
led the way for the Shelby boys, finishing 57th (21:46.7). Also scoring
were Declan Waller (100th, 26:23.8), Isaac Harrell (116th, 30:11.8),
Emilio Bustos (117th, 30:15.9) and Micah Squire (122nd, 47:16.9).
