Oceana County Council on Aging celebrates the holiday season

Oceana County Council on Aging brought the spirit of the season to local seniors this month at both the main center and the adult day center, Our Friends House.
Festivities at the main center included two Christmas dinners with cookie decorating and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Our Friends House also enjoyed cookie decorating, along with a Christmas party complete with holiday treats and featured music from the ukulele group "The String A'longs." Santa and Mrs. Claus also paid Our Friends House a visit to deliver candy canes and warm wishes for the winter season.
To round out the holiday festivities, Oceana County Council on Aging hosted a Kids Connect Corner in partnership with Read Early, Read Often on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. Families enjoyed crafts, Christmas cookies, a book to take home and Storytime with Santa at 1:30 p.m. For more information about these and upcoming events contact OCCOA Program Director Bradley Youngstrom at 231-873-4461.
