Hart earned its second straight first-place finish in West Michigan
Conference action Wednesday night at the Montague jamboree, setting
season highs in all three rounds according to coach Roberta Cooke.
The
Pirates totaled 656.84 points, edging Mason County Central by just over
a point for the top spot. Shelby finished fourth, with 637.32 points.
Hart
did not have the highest score among all competitors in any of the
three rounds, but came up big in the final round by scoring 266.4
points, outscoring North Muskegon - which entered the final round with
the lead - by 29 points. The Pirates finished second in scoring in all
three rounds.
Shelby finished only three points behind North
Muskegon for third place. The Tigers scored 256.2 points in the final
round, just shy of third place in that round.
