Hart finished fourth at Saturday's Reed City Invitational, only 19 points behind first-place Birch Run.
The Pirates had four wrestlers reach the finals at their weight classes, highlighted by Sawyer Boos' title at 113 pounds and Kole Thomas' at 126. Boos scored a technical fall and a pin to reach the finals, then picked up an impressive technical fall against Birch Run's Jackson Newton in the championship match.
Thomas had to fight a bit harder to earn his championship, winning by major decision in the quarterfinals and by decision in the semis. Thomas then outfought Freeland's Michael Wilson in a tough 4-1 decision in the finals.
Logan Jorissen went 2-1 with a pin and a technical fall at 138 pound to earn second place, and Jordan Thies earned two pins on his way to the finals, where he too finished second. Michael Chavira was fourth at 120, and Haegan Hansen finished fourth at 165.
