Pentwater did what it could to keep up with a traditionally strong
Baldwin squad that currently sits atop the West Michigan D League
Tuesday night, but fell to the Panthers 73-42.
The Falcons
(2-8, 1-6 WMD) were only down 12 points going into the final quarter,
46-34, but Baldwin exploded for 27 points in the fourth to pull away for
the win.
"Despite the challenge, the Falcons showed resilience, with their
sophomores stepping up in a big way," Pentwater coach Ashley Lubera said. "The team's effort and composure
helped keep the game within 10 points until the fourth quarter, giving
the Falcons a chance deep into the contest."
Abram Kieda
posted a double-double for Pentwater, with 14 points and 10 rebounds,
and Brody Austin chipped in 13 points and eight boards. Jacobo Martin
had 10 points.
"This team continues to grow with each game, learning how to play
together and trust one another," Lubera said. "As they limit mistakes and sharpen their
execution, the Falcons are positioning themselves to peak at the right
time."
