Hesperia could do very little to slow down the potent North Muskegon Norsemen Friday night in a road West Michigan Conference Rivers contest, coming up on the short end of a 67-26 defeat.
The Panthers didn't let the game get away quickly, trailing 17-7 after a quarter, but North Muskegon exploded for a 29-3 scoring run in the second stanza to take control of the game.
"Their tenacious half-court trap led to
numerous turnovers and several easy buckets," Hesperia coach Scott Warsaw said of the Norsemen.
Nate Ruhstorfer led Hesperia (3-9, 1-5 WMC Rivers) with nine points, while Adam Dugener put in 22 for the Norsemen, with Braylen Burrel chipping in 19.
