Montague started West Michigan Conference Lakes play on a strong
note Wednesday at the Oakridge Jamboree, taking second place behind
Ludington with a team score of 171.
Whitehall tied with Manistee for fourth place, shooting a 182.
Michael
Flanagan led the Wildcats with a 40, finishing sixth in the individual
standings, and Ethan Balon had a 41, including a birdie. Jonah Henderson
had a 43 and Tanner DeVries added a 47 to score for the team.
"The team played
extremely well and continues to improve each week," Montague coach Brad Tate said.
William
Burger paced Whitehall with a 43, followed by Finn Novy with a 44 and
Rylan Johnson with a 46. Jones McDowell rounded out Whitehall scoring
with a 49, including a birdie.
