Muskegon County Emergency Operations Center activated to coordinate response to high water levels

On Thursday, April 16, at 10 a.m., Muskegon County Emergency Management activated the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to flooding. With the EOC operational, agencies can collaborate effectively from a centralized location. Representatives from emergency management, public safety, road commission, dispatch, public health, administration, and other entities are sharing information in real time to maintain situational awareness. This approach enables decision-makers to respond promptly, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure community safety.
All dams are functioning as intended at this time and are currently being closely monitored for safety. All Public River Access Sites along the Muskegon River are closed.
