Lottery dates announced for Shelby Acres Phase 3

Shelby Acres just released their model homes for Phase 3 and the response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive. For Phase 3, two new models were introduced, “The Chestnut" and “The Hemlock.” 
The Chestnut offers a 2-bedroom, 2-bath ranch with over 1,200 square feet, laundry on the main floor, and an unfinished basement, giving one over 2,400 square feet in total. The Chestnut offers spacious bedrooms and a kitchen with a cozy living room. 
The Hemlock offers a 3-bedroom, 2-bath ranch home with over 1,300 square feet. The highlights of the Hemlock are the spacious and seamless flow of the kitchen, dining and living area. The Hemlock also has an unfinished basement, making it a great opportunity to expand up to 2,600 square feet. Both “The Chestnut" and “The Hemlock” display an open layout that perfectly blends comfort and functionality. 
The Oceana County Development Corporation feels these two models will attract an array of buyers seeking the ease of single-level living but with the potential of expansion and lots of storage in a peaceful and new community. In addition, they are also bringing back their two existing models from last year: "The Aspen" and the sold-out "Maple." At the beginning of each Phase, a blind lottery must be conducted to offer fair selection of the homes. The lottery for each model will take place at the existing model home at 7 p.m. If one is looking to get into the lottery, the dates are listed below: 

The Chestnut House: All pre-qualified buyers and/or their agents will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Chestnut model home (285 Aspen Hill Drive) for the drawing to find out if they are successful for one of the four homes or not. At the meeting, home sites would be selected based on the final selection process. 

The Hemlock House: All pre-qualified buyers and/or their agents will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the Hemlock model home (287 Aspen Hill Drive) for the drawing to find out if they are successful for one of the four homes or not. At the meeting, home sites would be selected based on the final selection process. 

The Maple House: All pre-qualified buyers and/or their agents will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Maple model home (289 Aspen Hill Drive) for the drawing to find out if they are successful for one of the two homes or not. At the meeting, home sites would be selected based on the final selection process. 

The Aspen House: All pre-qualified buyers and/or their agents will meet at 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at the Elm model home (291 Aspen Hill Drive) for the drawing to find out if they are successful for one of the three homes or not. At the meeting, home sites would be selected based on the final selection process.
