HART — The first fall sporting event in Oceana County took place Monday, as several West Michigan squads gathered for the Hart Invitational at The Colonial Golf Course.
The host Pirates were the lone county representatives to compete and finished in seventh place out of the nine competing schools,scoring 526 as a team. Senior Reese Smith led the way, earning an individual medal thanks to her 10th-place finish. She shot a 106, twice making par.
Also for Hart, Grace Tucker posted a 137, followed by freshman Tenley Amstutz with a 138. Baleigh Klotz and Joselyn Flores each scored a 145 to round out the team scoring.
"The team played incredible golf, making it an all-around fantastic day on the course," Hart coach Michael Giddings wrote on the team's Facebook page.
