Hesperia dropped its season opener to Farwell Thursday night, 34-14, despite a big passing day from quarterback Tucker Bolles.
The teams were deadlocked 14-14 at the half before Farwell took over the game in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 20-0.
Bolles
completed 14-of-24 passes for 229 yards, with his favorite targets
being Malakai Sellers and Tyler Tinkam. Each caught five passes;
Sellers' receptions went for 85 yards, and Tinkham's for 51. Dominick
Rivera scored both Panther touchdowns on the ground.
Outside
of those TD runs, though, Hesperia's ground game couldn't manage much.
Bradley Fairchild led the team with 20 yards on seven carries.
On defense, Evan Conkle led Hesperia with nine tackles, and Mackie MacKinnon added eight.
