Hart continued its impressive start to the season Tuesday night by scoring a sweep of Ludington in West Michigan Conference Lakes action, remaining perfect in the league.
"The girls really came out strong tonight and played a really clean game against a tough Ludington team," Hart coach Shawn Bectel said. "We did a great job running our offense and controlling the tempo of the game. Our defense really set the tone for us as we were able to get a lot of touches with our block and kept the ball in play, which gave us a lot of offensive opportunities."
The Pirates (15-6-3, 2-0 WMC Lakes) hit an impressive .202 as a team, led by Reese Smith's efficient 17-kill performance and .333 hitting percentage. Grace Tucker distributed 19 assists and Calyn Eisenlohr added 10.
On defense, Alayna Schiller had 13 digs and Smith added 10. Peyton Erickson had three blocks.
