Hart defeated Shelby Monday night at the North Muskegon Quad, 25-12, 26-24, as part of a 3-0 performance. The Tigers dropped all three of their matches.
Hart fell to Fruitport to start the night, 25-12, 25-21, but bounced back with the win over its county rival before defeating North Muskegon 25-16, 25-15 to cap the evening.
The Pirates (14-6-3) continued their recent strong serving, making only seven errors in the three matches while totaling 20 aces. Seven of those came from Alayna Schiller, who also led the Hart defense with 33 digs.
Offensively, Reese Smith had 18 kills and Braelynn Talmadge had 13. Peyton Erickson hit .235 and collected 11 kills. Calyn Eisenlohr posted 19 assists and Grace Tucker had 17.
Ava Johnson had four blocks, and Erickson and Mya Hovey each added three.
The Tigers (7-11) nearly topped the Norse in their first match but lost a very tough battle, 26-24, 23-25, 25-22. Shelby also played Fruitport tough in a 25-18, 25-23 defeat.
Emma Stovall, Briar Peters and Peyton Rapes each had 37 digs to tie for the Tigers' lead on defense. Izzy Rudat had four blocks.
On offense, Peters had 18 kills and Annabelle Stark added 13. Rapes posted 49 assists and also had four aces, all against North Muskegon.
