Montague avenged last fall's district finals defeat to Manistee by ripping off six straight second-half goals Wednesday and beating the Mariners, 7-1.
The game was tied at halftime before the Wildcats (5-4, 3-2 West Michigan Conference) "caught fire in the second (half) and never looked back," said coach Brandon Mahoney.
Isaiah King spearheaded the Montague outburst, scoring four times in the game. Aryk Wood, Emerson Hedrick and Austin White had a goal each.
