Pentwater participated in the Marion Steeplechase Saturday, a
different kind of cross-country race. As in the Olympic event of the
same name, the track wasn't just a running course, but also included
obstacles such as logs and hay bales.
"It made for a fun race, but definitely added an extra challenge," Pentwater coach Erika Fatura said.

Case won the girls race for the Falcons with a time of 24:00.4; there
were eight total finishers in the race. Also for Pentwater, Lily Smith
placed fifth (28:04.8), Maggie Jorissen was sixth (33:01.7) and Valerie
Smith was eighth (33:04.7).
Tyler Zimmer led Pentwater in his
5K debut, placing 12th out of the 17 finishers with a time of 22:52.1.
Ben Roberson finished 14th in a time of 23:48.8, and Michael Smith was
17th with a time of 30:46.7.
