Shelby took to the course Saturday at the Sparta Invitational, and
the Tiger girls finished fourth out of four scoring teams in the Silver
(small-school) division.
Noel Parker was Shelby's top
finisher, taking fourth place in a time of 21:29.5. Lydia Soelberg was
close behind in sixth place, posting a time of 21:54.9.
Also
for the Tigers, Kathryn Beyer finished 17th (24:39.2), Ava Lamberg was
27th (27:51.4) and Michelle Peterson placed 31st (31:07.7).
The
boys team had four finishers so could not post a team score. Parker
Weirich led the team with a fifth-place finish, notching a time of
18:17.3. Brycen Brown also finished in the top 10, coming in eighth with
a time of 18:50.6. Jaciel Moreno (16th, a personal best 21:04.97) and
Jackson Sines (33rd, 26:36.9) also finished for the Tiger boys.
