Shelby had to battle all five games with Mason County Central in Tuesday's West Michigan Conference Rivers match, but dominated the final two to come away with the win, 25-21, 22-25, 21-25, 25-14, 15-5.
Briar Peters led Shelby (8-11, 2-1 WMC Rivers) on both offense and defense, piling up 18 kills and 22 digs and hitting a very solid .254 for the night. Peters and Emma Stovall tied for the team lead in aces with two.
Peyton Rapes totaled 32 assists for Shelby and also had 21 digs. Haylie Smith and Izzy Rudat had three blocks apiece.
