Pentwater runners enjoyed their trip south to Saturday's Fruitport Invitational, at a course coach Erika Fatura said is always a team favorite due to "its beautiful scenery."
Six Falcons competed - three in each race - and Bailey Case led the team, finishing eighth in the girls' race with a time of 22:02. Lily Smith placed 33rd with a time of 26:16, and Maggie Jorissen took 40th.
The Falcon boys got two highlights, with Tyler Zimmer posting a season best time of 20:17 to finish in 29th place, and eighth-grader Skyler Compton making his varsity debut with a mark of 21:31, taking 44th. Ben Roberson finished in a time of 22:53 to place 60th.
