Whitehall senior running star Bobby Jazwinski took his game to a higher level Saturday, competing in an exclusive Race of Champions event in Terre Haute, Ind. and showing why he is among the top high school runners in the country.
Jazwinski finished second in a field of over 400 runners from around the region, posting a time of 14:40.0. The only runner to get the best of Jazwinski was Rockhurst (Mo.) junior Jack McGovern, who edged out the Viking star by a second and a half.
Of the over 400 runners in the race, 97 broke 16 minutes, a mark of the caliber of runners who competed.
