In celebration of National Health Center Week August 3-9, Northwest Michigan Health Services Inc. (NMHSI) invites the entire community to its 2nd Annual Health and Resource Fair Thursday, Aug. 7, from 3-6 p.m. This event, which will take place at 119 S. State St. in Shelby, is designed to promote health, wellness, and access to essential resources and will feature free health screenings, local vendors and community organizations, family-friendly activities, giveaways, refreshments and much more!
National Health Center Week recognizes the vital role community health centers play in providing accessible, affordable care—especially to underserved populations across the country.
“This event is a great opportunity to connect with the community,” Alicia Harmon, event coordinator, shared. “Local organizations will host booths and provide plenty of helpful information as well as fun games and activities for children.”
NMHSI provides compassionate, quality health care to everyone in northwest lower Michigan, with locations in Traverse City, Benzonia, Manistee and Shelby. NMHSI offers low-cost services, extended hours, mobile clinics, sliding fee and discount drug programs and interpreter services.
