Hart went 1-3 at Saturday's Grand Haven tournament, facing off with much larger schools on the court.
The Pirates (7-10-1) finished the day with a close win over Greenville, 20-25, 25-15, 19-17. They lost matches to Zeeland East (25-13, 25-19), Grand Haven (25-11, 25-19) and Adrian (25-19, 25-13).
Struggles on offense dogged Hart, which hit only .064 for the day. However, the Pirates did put up big defensive numbers, led by Alayna Schiller's 59 digs. Cali Eisenlohr and Grace Tucker each posted 28 assists. Eisenlohr also had a team-high six aces.
Reese Smith led attacking for Hart with 16 kills, and Rilynn Porter added 14.
