Hesperia runners compete at Ottawa Hills Invitational

The Hesperia boys' team finished in 20th place in the small-school division at Friday's Ottawa Hills Invitational, led by Nate Ruhstorfer in 81st place.
Ruhstorfer finished in a time of 18:21.5 to set a new season best time, a theme for runners Friday on a fast course.
Andy Lopez-Garcia finished 117th for the Panthers (19:02.9), and Hunter Tinkham placed 171st (22:04.7).  Paul Winchel was 173rd (22:23.6) and Tony Lopez-Garcia closed out the scoring in 179th (22:32.8).
The Panther girls had four finishers in the race, with Rokhaya Ruhstorfer the leader with a time of 24:00.3, good for 138th place. Other finishers were Elyssa Wright (196th, 32:03.7), Danielle Merritt (205th, 42:45.7) and Alana Javinsky (206th, 43:40.3).
