Pentwater hit the race course again Wednesday at the West Michigan D
League's second jamboree of the season, hosted by Grand Traverse
Academy.
Falcons' coach Erika Fatura congratulated her team
for "maintaining a positive attitude" and delivering solid results. The
boys' team finished in fifth place, while the girls had four finishers,
led by Pentwater's top runner of the day, Bailey Case. Case finished in
sixth with a time of 26:52.7.
Also for the Falcon girls, Lily
Smith was 16th (29:33.1) and Lauren Davis was 22nd (32:17.3). Maggie
Jorissen was the team's fourth finisher, in 31st (37:52.8).
On
the boys' side, Tyler Zimmer had a very good first race of his season,
leading the team by placing 14th in a time of 23:44.9. Bode Powell took
33rd place (26:44.6) and Wyatt Roberts was 36th (26:53.5). Ben Roberson
(38th, 27:21.4) and Michael Smith (50th, 34:30.3) closed out the
scoring.
Walkerville had two finishers in the girls' race - Alexis Lathrop (33rd, 39:51.8) and Grace Riggs (38th, 43:28.1).
