Hart's teams dominated Thursday's Chris Grabowski Memorial
Invitational in Manistee, claiming the top spot in both races. Shelby
and Pentwater also competed in the race.
The Pirate girls had
five of the first eight finishers in the race to secure the win, with
Natalie Rosema picking up the individual win with a time of 20:47.2.
Emma Miller placed second and posted a time of 21:08.8 and Alaina
Schaner finished fourth in a time of 21:45.4.
Luisa VanderZwaag took seventh (22:12.1) and Bryn Riley finished eighth (22:21.4) to round out Pirate scoring.
The
boys' team was nearly as overwhelming, also with five of the top eight
finishes. Grant Ackley was Hart's top runner, coming in second place
with a time of 17:54.6, and Aiden Schaner was third in a time of
18:00.3. Trevor VanderKodde finished fifth and had a time of 18:12.3.
Rounding out the Pirate scoring were Timothy Wolff in seventh (18:19.9) and Carson Ackley in eighth (18:21.9).
The
Shelby Tiger squads finished fourth in the boys' race and fifth in the
girls'. Noel Parker was the top Shelby runner, placing ninth in the
girls' race with a time of 22:45.1. Kathryn Beyer finished 18th for
Shelby (23:59.4). Also scoring were April Luna (30th, 25:32.9), Ava
Lamberg (35th, 26:48.8) and Sydney Reed (37th, 26:59.2).
Parker
Weirich paced the Shelby boys by finishing 16th, posting a time of
18:55.95. Brycen Brown was close behind in 18th place (19:15.8). Also
for the Tigers, Declan Waller was 47th (24:14.5), Emilio Bustos was 53rd
(25:42.0) and Edmund Hayes was 58th (28:17.2).
The Falcon
teams were unable to post scores, but they had some solid individual
performances, led by Tyler Zimmer coming in 27th in the boys' race.
Zimmer set a season best time of 20:04.7. Wyatt Roberts was 31st for the
Falcon boys with a time of 20:17.7.
For the Pentwater girls,
Bailey Case was 32nd in a time of 25:58.0, and Valerie Smith sliced over
a minute off her previous personal best with a time of 30:19.4, good
for 46th place. Maggie Jorissen was 48th in a time of 32:20.9.
