Hart wrestled against some elite competition Saturday at the Freeland Duals, notching a 3-2 record.
Three of the Pirates' five matches were against ranked opponents, and the Pirates were 1-2 in those matches; Hart defeated Division 3 No. 9 Ogemaw Heights 39-29 and fell to Division 4 No. 3 St. Louis 40-39 (the Sharks won on tiebreaker criteria) and to Division 2 No. 8 Freeland 49-17.
Hart also defeated Williamston 46-26 and beat Zeeland East 48-26.
Jordan Thies highlighted Hart performances by going 4-0, pinning all four of his opponents. Haegan Hansen and Adrian Lara each went 4-1; Lara pinned three opponents and won an overtime decision, and Hansen recorded two pins and two wins by decision.
