Hesperia fell to White Cloud in a Newaygo County Showcase game Saturday evening, 62-50.
The
Panthers (4-12) struggled in the second quarter, being outscored 18-5
as the Indians stretched their early lead to 33-15 at halftime.
"White
Cloud dominated on the glass and created numerous turnovers, leading to
an easy victory," Hesperia coach Scott Warsaw said.
Freshman
up-and-comer Evan Conkle had a terrific night for the Panthers in
defeat, with 33 points and 17 rebounds. Brady Strait countered with a
huge game of his own, scoring 32 points for White Cloud.
