Hesperia finished in fifth place Saturday at the Fennville Invitational, just seven points out of third place.
Most
of the Panthers' points came from their three finalists. Noah Walker
claimed the 285-pound championship for Hesperia with three dominating
wins, as he scored a technical fall and then pinned his final two
opponents of the day. Carter Fuentes was also a champ, at 106,
earning two straight pins and then a technical fall in the finals
against his teammate, Grayson Gould.
Gould himself pinned his
first two opponents at 106 on his way to second place. Wyatt Muckey went
3-2 and finished in sixth place, with all three wins by pin.
