The City of Hart has announced the promotion of Lindsay Brown to the position of Economic & Community Development Coordinator, filling a role that has been vacant since City Manager Nichole Kleiner previously served in the position before returning to lead the city.
Brown previously served the city as Utility Billing Clerk and Deputy Clerk and will continue managing utility billing operations while taking on expanded responsibilities supporting Hart’s economic and community development efforts.
In her new role, Brown will assist with business retention and expansion efforts, community event coordination, marketing initiatives, administration of the Hart Economic & Redevelopment Team (HEART) board and grant research and administration.
Brown has already played a key role in organizing and growing several of Hart’s signature events, including Hart Sparks, Music on the Commons, Winterfest, ArtWalk and the Thrift Crawl, helping strengthen community engagement and downtown activity.
“Lindsay has demonstrated a strong commitment to the City of Hart and our community,” Kleiner said. “She has already made a meaningful impact through her work supporting our events, businesses and residents. I am confident she will use this opportunity to continue learning and growing into a future director-level position.”
Outside of work, Brown remains active in both her professional and community roles. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and exploring new destinations. During the summer months, she can often be found at the beach or on the golf course.
