Reeths-Puffer girls basketball loses district opener to Cedar Springs

Reeths-Puffer was unable to carry the momentum of its winning streak into the postseason Monday, dropping a pre-district matchup to Cedar Springs 56-29.
The Rockets (12-10) had won six games in a row entering the district tournament, but the Red Hawks ensured the streak wouldn't reach seven by hounding the R-P offense throughout the game.
Ashlyn David scored 13 points to lead R-P, and Raquel Walker added nine.
With no seniors on this year's roster, the Rockets will be in good position for a strong record next season if player development continues.
