Hart softball takes first WMC Rivers losses of year, falls to North Muskegon

Hart dropped a doubleheader to West Michigan Conference Rivers foe North Muskegon Tuesday, 10-0 and 15-2.
The Pirates (8-8, 4-2 WMC Rivers) struggled defensively in game one, committing six errors that led to four unearned runs. Hart managed three hits in the game - one each by Makenna Carrier, Sydney Bateson and Bailey Helenhouse - but didn't draw any walks, hurting its cause at the plate.
Hart briefly tied game two at 1 when Bateson ripped a RBI double to score Kora Hiddema in the first inning, but the Norse took over from there and won in five innings by mercy rule. Bateson's hit was one of two for Hart in the game, with Carrier getting the other one. Three errors led to six unearned runs.
