Pentwater
finished two strokes out of the top spot Tuesday at the Grand Traverse
Academy jamboree in West Michigan D League play, shooting a score of
187.
GTA edged the Falcons by those two strokes, moving the two teams into a tie in the WMD standings through two league meets.
Pentwater
coach Alicia Kolenda praised the layout of the Crown course in Traverse
City; this is GTA's first academic year in the WMD, so it was the first
time for Pentwater playing there in a conference meet.
Gavin
Macher led Pentwater and took second place overall with a score of 44.
Bode Powell shot a 46, Aiden Henry had a 48 and Izzabella Kolenda shot a
49.
Coach Kolenda said a series of tough sand traps affected
the Falcons late in their round, particularly Izzabella Kolenda, who
until that point was vying for a higher placement.
