Pentwater softball splits doubleheader with Benzie Central

Pentwater split a doubleheader Monday with Benzie Central in non-conference action. The Falcons won 18-10 in game one and fell to the Huskies in a darkness-shortened game two, 9-8.
Aubrie Adams led the Falcon offense in game one with three hits and three RBI, and Charlie Swanger mashed a triple deep into the outfield, scoring on the play due to an error.
Pentwater grabbed an early lead in game two, 4-1, before Benzie rallied for the win. Adams again drove in a run on a single, and Riley Swanger scored her first hit of the season, a hard-hit single to left field, before later scoring.
Karina Olivarez fueled a late comeback attempt by the Falcons, but Benzie Central hung on to salvage the split.
