Shelby grabbed the top spot in Monday's West Michigan Conference Rivers jamboree hosted by Holton, with Hart in second place.
The Tigers' team score of 160 was 12 shots ahead of the Pirates'. Hesperia finished fifth with a 195.
The
Carter brothers led the way for Shelby, with Titan Carter picking up
medalist honors for the jamboree with a one-over par 36, and Ivan Carter
finishing only three shots behind. Titan scored two birdies in his
round and Ivan had one; between them they shot worse than a bogey on
only one hole.
Ryan Schouten had a 42 for Shelby, and Rafael
Davis rounded out the scoring with a 43. Schouten scored a birdie in his
round, and Davis had two.
Hunter Loudermilk paced the Pirates
in the meet, tying with Ivan Carter for second place individually with
his 39. He scored a birdie during the round.
Logan Dean scored
a 40, also including a birdie, and Wyatt Johnson shot a 44. Jackson
Bishop's 49 gave him the Pirates' fourth scoring spot.
For
Hesperia, Tim Hoaglin and Logan Kammer each shot a 48, and Alex Scott
had a 49. Taylor Ackerberg closed Panther scoring with a 50.
