Shelby's Titan Carter had a terrific day at Saturday's Kent City
Invitational at The Falls Golf Course, tying for ninth place overall in
the 21-team event with an 80 that included an impressive three-hole run
that saw him make two birdies and an eagle.
Carter played
solid golf throughout the day, making worse than a bogey only twice in
18 holes. The Tigers' team score of 380 put them in 16th place in a
field of mostly larger schools.
Two other Tigers broke 100 on
the course. Rafael Davis shot an 89, and Ivan Carter posted a 90. Davis
made two birdies during his round.
Ryan Schouten closed the team scoring for Shelby, posting a 121.
