BC Pizza of Hart marks 15 years of community, perseverance & pizza

In a small town like Hart, success stories are often built on determination, resilience and a strong sense of community. Few stories capture that spirit better than BC Pizza of Hart, which proudly celebrated 15 years in business at the end of April.
Back in November 2010, Hart residents Jerrod and Tara Eisenlohr had a dream: to open their own pizza restaurant in their hometown. It was a simple idea rooted in family, hard work and a belief in their community. But like many dreams, it didn’t come easy.
After presenting their business plan to a local bank, the couple was turned down. They were even told something that could have ended their journey before it began, “Hart doesn’t need another pizza place.”
For many, that might have been the end of the road, but for the Eisenlohrs, it was just the beginning. "I personally took that comment as a challenge. I wanted to prove that banker wrong." Tara explained.
With two young children, just 2 and 4 years old at the time, they chose to push forward. Through persistence and belief in their vision, they brought their dream to life just a few months later, opening BC Pizza on Comfort Drive in Hart on April 20, 2011.
Fifteen years later, that once-doubted idea has become a cornerstone of the community.
BC Pizza of Hart has grown into more than just a place to grab a slice—it’s a gathering spot, a supporter of local causes, an employer of numerous young people and a business deeply woven into the fabric of the town. Over the years, the Eisenlohrs have consistently given back; supporting sports teams, band boosters, school book giveaways, fundraisers, churches and countless charitable events.
