Hart soccer rallies past Montague, sets up run for a WMC title this week

Hart set up a huge week for the program with a 3-2 win over Montague Friday, the first Pirates win over the Wildcats in 11 years according to the school.
With the win, Hart moved to 6-1 in the West Michigan Conference and 11-3-1 overall. The team plays both Ludington and North Muskegon this week, a tall order for any team, but wins in those games would give the Pirates a share of the WMC title.
Montague took a 2-1 lead into halftime, with Vivi VanAgtmael scoring the Pirates' lone goal, but Hart rallied in the second half. Addison Barefoot tied the game for Hart with 22 minutes to play on an assist by VanAgtmael, and Rilynn Porter cashed in a great free kick assist from Barefoot a few minutes later for the game-winner.
Baleigh Klotz made seven saves, including an impressive leap to tip a cross over the net late in the game to keep the Pirates ahead.
"The defense of Nevaeh Reyna, Ari Vela-Cantu, and Olivia Bradley stood up to and cleared away anything the Wildcats threw at them in the second half," Hart coach Joe Gilbert said.
