Hart polished off its regular season with a dominating 8-0 win over Muskegon Monday night, not allowing a single shot on goal.
The
Pirates didn't come out racing, scoring their first goal 15 minutes
into the game when Natalie Rosema put in a goal on an Olivia Bradley
assist. Hart added two more first-half goals, one by Bradley and the
second an own-goal by Muskegon after Zoily Sarabia sent in a centering
pass.
The second half saw much more Hart success on offense as
the Pirates took less than two minutes to score and set off a five-goal
run that ended the game by mercy rule.
Sarabia scored twice
in the second half, and Rosema added her second goal of the game.
Nereyda Espinoza scored her first varsity goal, and Bradley's second
goal of the night was the clincher.
Hart keeper Baleigh Klotz
had an easy shutout as her teammates dominated possession. She did
collect a couple of through-balls to set up counters.
