Hesperia fell to Lakeview in a doubleheader Tuesday, 17-10 and 10-0, as it prepares for the upcoming district tournament.
The
Panthers (6-19) fell behind big when Lakeview scored eight third-inning
runs to extend an early lead to 13-1. Hesperia was able to take the
game the seven-inning distance but could not complete the comeback.
Defensive miscues haunted Hesperia, as 13 errors led to 12 unearned runs by Lakeview.
Sarissa
Conkle had a big game, getting four hits and driving in two runs.
Madesyn Bolles got a hit, walked twice, and drove in three runs. Olivia
Gerard and Lyla Coronado each got two hits.
The Panthers struggled at the plate in game two, getting three hits as a team. Jeri Ward got one of them and also drew a walk.
