Shelby played Montague to a 1-1 tie Monday night to cap off its regular season.
The
Tigers bounced back from an early second-half goal by the Wildcats and
tied it up on a goal by Kylie Brown. Brown pounded in a rebound from a
shot by Kylee Hanson.
Coach Joe Gorton said the Tigers (7-6-3,
4-4-2 West Michigan Conference) battled hard despite missing a few
players and held possession well in the second half.
"We made some adjustments at halftime, and I
think they paid off," Gorton said. "We made some great runs, and created a ton of opportunities."
Brylee Friedman racked up 16 saves to preserve the tie for Shelby.
