Ludington turned back Shelby's bid to reach the top of the West Michigan Conference Monday evening, as the Orioles blanked the Tigers 4-0 on Shelby's senior night.
"Zoe Cornaby, Brylee Friedman, Kylie Brown and Ari Garza have been key members of the program for quite some time now," Shelby coach Joe Gorton said. "Their relentlessness, their attitudes, and their effort have helped pushed this team and this program forward, and we were excited to celebrate their efforts."
The game, though, was less of a celebration, as the powerhouse Orioles continued a WMC win streak that stretches back to 2024. They peppered the Shelby (6-3-2, 4-2-1 WMC) net with shots, forcing keeper Brylee Friedman to make 16 saves.
"Shelby looked to build counter-attacks against the Ludington press, and while we earned a few opportunities, we weren't able to cash in on them," Gorton said.
