Shelby took second place at Wednesday's Hesperia Jamboree with a
score of 168, retaining a slight edge in the overall West Michigan
Conference Rivers standings.
For the second jamboree in a row,
the Tigers' Titan Carter tied for the top spot with North Muskegon's
Luke Jones, with both players shooting a one-over par 36. Carter started
out very well Wednesday, making two birdies in his first four holes. He
did not shoot worse than a bogey on any hole.
Ivan Carter
shot a 40 for Shelby, good for a tie for fifth place overall, and made a
birdie in the round. Rafael Davis had a 43 and Ryan Schouten a 50 to
close out the scoring.
Hesperia finished third, 10 strokes
behind Shelby with a team score of 178. Logan Kammer led the team with a
40 to tie for fifth place. Following Kammer were Evan Fuentes with a
45, Alex Scott with a 46 and Tim Hoaglin with a 47.
Hart placed
fifth with a team score of 190. Hunter Loudermilk led the Pirates with a
42, followed by Jackson Bishop with a 48, Logan Dean with a 49 and
Braydan Baron with a 51.
