Michigan voters to cast ballots in August 4 primary

Early voting continues at the Hart Community Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 2 for the upcoming Aug. 4 Primary. 
Amongst the candidate listing, there is a notable absence of a candidate for District 2 (Shelby Township and Ferry Township) on the Oceana County Board of Commissioners. This seat is currently held by Joel McCormick, who is not seeking re-election, and is for a partial term ending Nov. 20, 2028. There are also multiple proposals seeking approval across various parts of the county. 
• OCEANA COUNTY PROPOSAL: Mason-Oceana 911 Operating Millage, Oceana County Emergency Ambulance Operating Millage, Renewal and Restoration and Proposition for Renewal of Separate Tax Limitations. 
• BENONA TOWNSHIP PROPOSAL: Benona Township Road Millage and Shelby Area District Library Millage Proposal. 
• GRANT TOWNSHIP PROPOSAL: Grant Township Millage for Road Construction and Maintenance. 
• HART TOWNSHIP PROPOSAL: Hart Township 7 Year Cemetery Millage .
• SHELBY TOWNSHIP PROPOSAL: Shelby Township Millage Renewal Proposition for Shelby Township Road Maintenance and Improvement, and for Township Cemeteries and Public Parks Improvement and Maintenance Purposes.
• WALKERVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS PROPOSAL: Walkerville Public Schools Operating Millage Proposal. 
• HESPERIA PUBLIC LIBRARY PROPOSAL: Hesperia Community Library Millage Proposal.
• PENTWATER DISTRICT LIBRARY PROPOSAL: Pentwater District Library Millage Proposal.
