Support group offered for Oceana County caregivers

Caring for a loved one can be both rewarding and challenging. Family caregivers are invited to attend a monthly Caregiver Support Group designed to provide encouragement, education and a space to connect with others who understand the caregiving journey.
The support group meets every fourth Friday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at the Oceana County Council on Aging. Meetings are facilitated by a Caregiver Support Specialist from Senior Resources of West Michigan, who provides guidance, practical caregiving information, and access to valuable community resources. The next Caregiver Support Group meets on August 28 at 10:30 a.m.
Whether one is caring for a spouse, parent, family member or friend, the group offers an opportunity to share experiences, learn helpful strategies and receive support in a confidential and compassionate environment.
There is no cost to attend, and new participants are always welcome.
For more information about the Caregiver Support Group or other caregiver services available through Senior Resources of West Michigan, please contact them at 231-733-3585 or 1-800-442-0054 or the Oceana County Council on Aging at 231-873-4461.
No one has to navigate the caregiving journey alone. Join others in this community for support and resources that can help make caregiving more manageable.
