Hart had no trouble dispatching Orchard View Tuesday in its West Michigan Conference Lakes opening match, 25-3, 25-6, 25-4.
It
was a night of career milestones for two Pirate seniors. Calyn
Eisenlohr recorded her 1,000th career assist and Alayna Schiller posted
her 2,000th career dig.
The Pirates (12-5-3, 1-0 WMC Lakes)
didn't have to break much of a sweat to win, as they recorded close to
half their points on service aces. The team had 32 aces in the match,
led by 13 from Jenna Babbin. Braelynn Talmadge added eight aces.
When
the Pirates did have to run their offense, they were efficient,
recording a .333 hitting percentage as a team. Reese Smith led the
offense with nine kills, hitting .529. Peyton Erickson had seven kills
and hit .353. Grace Tucker had 10 assists, and Eisenlohr added eight. On
defense, Schiller led the Pirates with eight digs.
