Reeths-Puffer placed third Wednesday at the Caledonia jamboree, shooting a 179 - three strokes behind the runner-up Scots.
Sophia McCollum took medalist honors for the jamboree, shooting a 37, including one birdie. The win marked the sixth event win by the Rocket senior. Also for R-P, Olivia Ambler shot a 45 and Ella Voorhies had a 47. Abby Davis and Tala Johnson tied for the Rockets' last scoring spot as each shot a 50.
“We got off to a little bit of a slow start today," R-P coach Matt Pallett said. "Several of the girls regrouped and turned it around which was good to see. We have a number of meaningful events coming up which will test not only our physical game but our mental toughness as well.”
