Reeths-Puffer settled for third place Thursday at the Mona Shores jamboree, finishing with a team score of 192 - five strokes behind runner-up Jenison.
Sophia McCollum led the Rockets and finished third overall, shooting a 42, including one birdie. Olivia Ambler took eighth place with a 46, followed by Ella Voorhies with a 40 and Kayleigh Brown with a 55.
“I love the fact that my team is never satisfied and wants to get better," R-P coach Matt Pallett said. "I have really challenged this group with a very difficult start to our season. Although a little frustrated with their scores at times, they continue to impress me with their work ethic and mental toughness.”
