Reeths-Puffer enjoyed a solid weekend at the Elk Rapids Invitational, posting a 3-1-1 record.
The
Rockets rolled to easy wins over Charlevoix (25-19, 25-9), Leland
(25-12, 25-7) and Bear Lake (25-12, 25-4) and split a match with Mount
Pleasant Sacred Heart, 25-20, 22-25. The Rockets fell to Sacred Heart in
a rematch in bracket play, 27-26, 25-18.
"We had a fun weekend up north with a lot of team bonding," Rockets coach Syann Fairfield said. "We enjoyed
playing against some teams we have never seen before, but there are a
lot of things we need to unpack to continue to grow and improve."
Peyton
Radel led the Rockets' attack with 34 kills, and Lexie Danz added 28.
Danz also served nine aces, while Kate Tindall added eight and Leah
Zuniga had seven. Tindall also passed out 92 assists, and Zuniga had 27
digs.
