Shelby pulled off a dramatic victory over Ravenna Monday night, scoring the winning goal with 10 seconds to play in the game.
Brian Gonzalez had the winning goal thanks to what coach Cristian Arellano called a great pass from Christian Llanas. Gonzalez then beat the keeper for the winner.
"Great team effort to continue fighting hard until the final whistle, even though one of our starting players was injured and unable to play since the first half," Arellano said. "The team was able to keep the pressure up on a (good) defensive Ravenna team."
Ravenna had the game's first goal in the opening half, and Llanas answered the goal to tie it up 10 minutes later, with an assist from Cesar Cadena.
Oliver Gorton made five saves for Shelby (6-5, 4-1 West Michigan Conference), and Arellano said his Tigers did a great job turning back the offensive efforts Ravenna made over the final 10 minutes of the game.
