Colleen J. Copron, age 92, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 1, 1934, to Marland and Leah (Leach) Littiebrant Sr. in Hart, MI. Colleen graduated from Hart High School in the Class of 1952 before continuing her education in nursing school, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree.
She dedicated her career to caring for others at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked as an LPN in the medical-surgical clinic for more than 20 years before retiring. While Colleen took great pride in her work, her greatest joy came from the time she shared with her family. She also had a special love for her two cats, who brought her much happiness and companionship. Colleen will be fondly remembered for the love she shared with those closest to her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two children, Debra (Bob) Hieb and David Copron; two grandchildren, Joshua (Brynn) Copron and Bridgette (Keith) Leyendecker; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sharon Copron; brother, Marland “Mid” (Shirley) Littiebrant Jr.; two sisters, Marilynn Littiebrant and Donna (Gordon) Gilles; and brother-in-law, Donald Hiddema.
In accordance with Colleen’s wishes, no services will be held. She will be laid to rest at Hart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Colleen’s honor can be directed to Harbor Hospice.
