Ellen Sue Pearson, 44, of Walkerville, unexpectedly passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. She was born October 9, 1980, in Shelby, the daughter of Scott and Mary (Lathrop) Pearson.
Ellen was a special person who was loved by many. She loved her cats, as well as sending cards to anyone in need, enclosed with a special Ellen note. Ellen had a quick comeback to everything and a sense of humor that will be missed by many. She enjoyed feeding the birds and supervising in the garden. But Ellen especially loved shopping trips, spending time with her mom and sister, having coffee with her dad, and yard saling with special friend, Cindy.
Ellen is survived by: her parents, Scott and Mary Pearson; siblings, Robert (Emily) Pearson, Allison (Jason) Dirheimer and Jennifer Curtis; nieces and nephews, Brianna (Mark), Justin Dirheimer, Jaden Dirheimer, Libby Pearson and Anthony Curtis; special ‘twin’ Amanda Paine; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ellen was preceded in death by: her grandmas and grandpas; uncle, Joe Lathrop; cousins, Angie Nichols and Adam Lathrop; and special nephew, Logan Pearson.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Walkerville Wesleyan Church, 144 176th Ave., Walkerville, MI 49459, with a luncheon to follow. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services. Private interment will be in West Hesperia Cemetery.
